    Air Bank’s profit up 3% to CZK 322 million for 9M 2015

Air Bank has posted a consolidated net profit of CZK 322 million for the first nine months of this year,  a 3% increase on the same period in 2014. Air Bank continued its rapid increase in client numbers during the third quarter as well as raising the volume of deposits and loans.

At the end of September 2015, the number of Air Bank’s clients rose 34% year-on-year to almost 395,000. The number of open current accounts grew even faster, by 48% year-on-year to 373,000. The number of open savings accounts grew 30% year-on-year to 265,000.

“Our growth in client numbers has been escalating throughout this year. More than 21,000 new clients came to us in August and September alone. The main reason for this growth in demand was our interest-bearing current account, which we made even more advantageous for all active clients in early August,” says Michal Strcula, Air Bank CEO.

Client deposits via current and savings accounts grew 23% year-on-year to CZK 64.2 billion. The total volume of loans in Air Bank’s portfolio grew by 6% to CZK 26.4 billion compared to 2014. Likewise, total assets grew by 23% to CZK 72.8 billion. The bank’s equity increased by 11% to CZK 5.1 billion.
