PPF Appoints Leoš Rousek as its New Spokesperson

PPF Group has named Leoš Rousek its new spokesperson, effective as of today. Apart from communicating with the media, he will oversee and develop PPF’s investor and business communication.

Mr. Rousek joins PPF from the consumer financing company Home Credit International, where he has worked as its senior researcher in investor relations and external communications.

Jitka Tkadlecová, who has served as PPF’s spokesperson till now, will fully focus on the communication activities of Nadace The Kellner Family Foundation and Open Gate school. Ms. Tkadlecová has been overseeing the communication agenda of these not-for-profit entities during her entire tenure at PPF. 

Leoš Rousek

Before joining the Prague headquarters of Home Credit, Mr. Rousek worked for PPF Group as an independent media and investor relations consultant. He has worked full-time in this field since 2019. For more than 20 years prior, he was a business journalist. He served as the bureau chief of Dow Jones Newswires in Moscow and Prague, and senior correspondent of the Wall Street Journal in Central and Eastern Europe. In the Czech Republic, he also worked for more than two years at the publishing company Economia as the Chief Economic Analyst of Hospodářské Noviny, the country’s main business daily newspaper. During his tenure at Hospodářské Noviny, he wrote a weekly newsletter on investment and wealth management called “Peníze Leoše Rouska” (Leoš Rousek’s Money). In 2020, he relaunched the newsletter as “Výnosy Leoše Rouska” (Leoš Rousek’s Returns & Statements).

Mr. Rousek is a graduate of the Columbia University’s School of International Affairs in the City of New York. He also studied a year at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, where he continued his undergraduate education after attending the English and American Studies Department of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague.
