Between 2003 and 2005, the PPF Group successfully transformed eBanka a.s. from a small online bank into a modern universal bank. Last year, eBanka generated CZK 10.5mln in after-tax profit and its balance sheet sum increased 25% year on year. The bank has developed a clear focus on two target segments – individuals and small and medium-size enterprises. The quality of eBanka’s business model and products has been repeatedly confirmed by many prestigious awards such as the Most Dynamic Bank of 2004 and 2005, Bank Account of 2003 and 2005, Direct Banking of 2002 and 2004, Gold Crown of 2004 for Direct Banking, Gold Ducat for Client-Friendly Approach and many more.
The PPF Group has recently received several offers to buy a 100% stake in eBanka. Due to the nature of these offers, the PPF Group has decided to consider its strategic options regarding its ownership interests in eBanka. A potential future decision to sell eBanka will depend on an agreement with the suitable buyer.
