Telefónica Slovakia: O2's customer base has increased by more than 13% annually to 1.58 million customers
Mobile operator O2 reached in the first quarter of 2014 revenues of 49.7 million €. To March 31st customer base has increased by 13% annually to 1.58 million. The company also achieved in the opening quarter of 2014 a positive operating profit before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA), which comparing with last year has increased by 7%.
„Continual increase of the customer base is constantly confirming the correctness of our strategy as well as fairness to all of our customers – new or existing ones. We are strongly focused on business segment, we enhance data services and we significantly strengthened and continually improved our network. All of these activities and the highest customer satisfaction among all operators in the market, brought us for the fifth time the title of the Operator of the year in independent survey of customers,“ said Ramiro Lafarge CEO of O2.
Total revenues in the first quarter of 2014 reached 49.7 million €. The average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) of prepaid services achieved in the first three months of the current year the amount of 5.8 €, ARPU for paying customers on the basis of invoices was 13.2 €.
On March 31st 2014 the number of active customers was 1.58 million. Over the comparable period of the previous year, this represents an annual increase of 13%, while since the beginning of 2014 was the net increase of customer base in O2 over 40.000. This increase was affected by increase of almost 18% of postpaid customers annually to almost 803,000, while the number of prepaid customers increased by 9% annually to 778,000.
From January 1st 2014 to March 31st 2014, customers transferred 29,970 phone numbers in O2 network.
Based on survey made by independent agency Ipsos Tambor and Telefónica Slovakia, O2 has reached the highest level of customer satisfaction among all Slovak mobile operators, again.
